Unity and Diversity in the Body

1 Corinthians 12:12-14

12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by[a] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

Hymn for May 2024

The Church's One Foundation

The church's one foundation
Is Jesus Christ her Lord;
She is his new creation
By water and the Word.
From heaven he came and sought her
To be his holy bride;
With his own blood he bought her,
And for her life he died.

Our church is more than just Sunday prayers. There’s a whole lot happening with our community throughout the week. We hold frequent gatherings and events, with special get togethers for families, kids and new members.  Check out the events page for details on...What's Happening at the OHCC? and see the List of Community Programs that meet at our church:

THANK YOU

We would like to thank each and everyone on the planning committee who made our Centennial Celebration both at our worship service and at our luncheon a beautiful success. Special thanks to Rev. James Todhunter and Rev. John Terry for speaking at our events. Thank you to Jillian Delaney (@jdelaney@siadvance.com) from the Staten Island Advance for documenting this momentous occasion for us.

It was so wonderful to see all those who attended the morning worship service via Zoom and our sincere gratitude to those who traveled from out of town to celebrate with us.To those who joined us for a delicious luncheon at the Old Bermuda Inn, to all of our members and friends, past and present, we are truly blessed by God's grace. Praise God for the ability of this little brown church on Guyon Ave. to do what He has commanded us to do; and that is to serve Him and sow His message of love - thank you for being the church we all seek.“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” - 2 Corinthians 13:14
